A champion of underserved communities, Keisha’s most monumental action as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives is authoring and sponsoring HB 18 legislation that ensures accessibility for disabled and visually impaired citizens in Georgia’s State Capitol and legislative office buildings. Keisha’s collective efforts were the catalyst which prompted the Georgia Building Authority to adopt and implement HB 18 as internal state agency policy. Due to Keisha’s tireless efforts, the State Capitol and legislative office buildings are now equipped with tactile and braille placards. Additionally, both are fully wheel chair accessible and ADA compliant.
